Consistently good and lightning fast service for lunch .. even when busy.  Friendly wait staff . Excellent red and green chile, made daily, on the New Mexican options, .  The combination plate is a good selection, with a taco, enchilada and tamale. Extensive breakfast options are also very good, including a chicken fried steak and eggs option and really good omelettes and breakfast burritos..  also a number of hamburgers and sandwiches.  All around very good and consistent with an extebsi.. opened only for breakfast and lunch until 2, closed Sunday and Monday.  Central avenue location, best accessed from Washington Street when single-lane Central Ave is congested ..

Next trip was for the Friday special
.. carne adovada with eggs, hash browns and a tortilla.  The carne adovada was mildly hot but really full of flavor with a perfect consistency of the red chile ..

Loyola's is a beloved neighborhood diner located in a part of East Nob Hill that feels preserved in time. Private lot with many spots, and abundant street parking as well. They open at 5:00 AM, so early birds are welcome.

On my first visit, I had the carne adovada and eggs. The carne was soft and flavorful; the eggs, over medium, like I requested. Beans and potatoes filled the plate, and I ate every bite. Absolutely delicious.

Today I returned with my girlfriend for brunch. We shared a couple of plates, both of which were good, though not at the same pinnacle as my first encounter.

The breakfast burrito seemed a bit haphazard, with the eggs at one end and potatoes at the other. Like much of the menu, it's also a couple bucks more expensive than it should be. The Loyola's special omelette was big, but greasy. The potatoes were oily, as was the ground beef inside the omelette.

And yet, the chile is so good here, I can't get upset. They offer it in bulk as well, perfect for family events, birthday parties, etc. The service is also fast and attentive here. I'll definitely be back.

Tried this place while in town (Came here for air balloon festival and breaking bad and better call Saul tour). The service was great, our waitress was like our friend, super attentive and very nice!! She took some pictures of us and told us the story of the tv shows.
Food was served within 5 minutes ( which is super fast) and hot, the quality of the food was on the top! Loved this place, if you're in town, it's a must.

The food was good as always. Green Chile was hotter than the red although both had a very  Good flavor. Eric had Spam and eggs (spam was sliced very thin) but eggs were perfect.
    The coffee is the best.
The whole entire restaurant over all is very very clean.

Loyola's huevos rancheros with green chiles were everything we could hope for. We love the no-nonsense, working-class atmosphere; friendly service; and excellent food. We're coming back to ABQ in a couple of weeks and are looking forward to our next meal at Loyola's.
